There are a lot of BB creams available in the market and different brands have their own versions. But what makes BB cream very popular? BB stands for Bright Benefit cream which works as foundation, concealer, moisturizer, and sunblock. These are just few of the several functions to be named.

Since I was intrigued by the BB cream craze, I went to the beauty section of SM department store. I searched the area, went to different stalls to compare prices of the their BB cream products, until I reached the Maybelline stall and discovered the cheapest BB cream available at 249 pesos only!.

Why I like it:

This is the perfect cream for those who need something that is more than just a foundation. Although, it promises a lot of benefits, I think it works best as a makeup base rather than a concealer or a foundation alone. You may need to add more layer of face powder after applying the cream to hide skin imperfections just in case the cream doesn’t work that much with your type of skin tone.

As you can see in the photo above, BB cream evens out skin tone. Take a look at my forehead, the first picture shows a darker forehead (due to sunburn) and slightly dark eye circles. After applying the Maybelline Clear Smooth BB cream, it immediately covered and made the dark areas smooth.

Also, it has SPF 26 with UVA and UVB protection which guarantees you sun protection for short exposures to Mr. Sun during the day. Although, I’d still suggest that you put on a cream with higher SPF especially when you’re always out of the house or at work.

Lastly, this BB cream can be your trusted tinted moisturizer especially for girls like me who tend to have dry skin, and huge pores on the face.
