I recently watched the movie Three Faces of Eve. The 1957 movie is an adaptation of a psychological case study by Thigpen and Cleckley. The main character suffered from Dissociative Identity Disorder, formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder. Three personalities were present, the timid Eve White, the simple Jane, and the flamboyant Eve Black.
So for the next three blog posts, it’s all about the Three Faces of Eve.

Towards the End of October: The song goes till the horizontal lines play dead, fourth shades sisterhood was born to a house they call The Dorm, built on the greenest land ever. I got my red velvet week, the lower limb module got me high till I got sick. Paola radiates in a way that is very unique to her.
I went home to DLSU last week and visited Malate Literary Folio, I was hugged, carried, and I felt loved. The movie “Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa” left us hanging, danced in a room with a big mirror, captured the city lights, the droplets on the cold windshield.
Cheers to the night that me and my cousins enjoyed, yes, I can hear the Christmas bells ringing :)

Saturday Prior the Semestral Break: Well I thought my most-anticipated part of the first semester would come so soon, then Biochemistry had to be in the way. Well, almost everyone’s in the Semestral Break State of mind already, there are those who have planned to be somewhere else for the two weeks of freedom.
Since I want to pass this subject, I have scheduled this weekend as strictly study time. Unfortunately, my brother has started his sembreak already and he came home early. I couldn’t study at home, it’s either I’d be succumbed to the comfort of my bed or be distracted by the TVs in the dining and living rooms. So I decided to go to Cafe Mary Grace at SM Southmall instead.
I think it was a good decision because I was able to cover till Evals 3 modules, yey! Not only that, I really made my tummy happy because I ordered excellent meals. I stayed there from 2pm to 9pm.

Mid-October: Just one night we gazed upon the stars, we drove by past speeding cars, the city lights flicker like golden fireflies. In a jam, I painted a face of a million worth of smiles, and to our destination we watched the old yet, superb stage come to life, yes I waited for this for six years. My ears hugged the melodies of the songs, my stomach felt the butterflies, and my eyes began to shed tears like water slowly sliding down against a glass. We enjoyed the night so much that we had the urge to bring the fun to The Fort Strip, not knowing the bar we went to just opened two days ago. None of us felt like Cinderellas waiting for the midnight nor the last call. Got home just in time for a quick explanation and a goodnight sleep.

Definitely pulled a street fashion moment. Planned for this set last week though Mr. Sun was not so cooperative during the shoot. This is something I would wear on shopping days or for a coffee date with my friends. Our aunt Lilian was watching us, she then showed me her newly bought sunglasses and asked me to wear it. So there, fits me right. It’s been two months already since I colored my hair, and it’s still brown, I hope it lasts till the end of the month. I can’t wait for the Semestral break!

September: The wildflowers start to bloom, free-spirited as they jump in joy, while the sun gold rays illuminate the long and slender leaves of the afternoon. I cannot contain the happiness that even after a long day, I still find myself fascinated at the beauty of what is exactly framed by the window in my photographer’s dorm room.
Formed new bonds with people I’m slowly starting to treasure as the long study and coffee nights become too overwhelming now. I finally learned how to create a fishtail braid on my nice brown hair , enjoyed my favorite blackpuccino drink on a redemptive weekend with my family, a hearty meal from John and Yoko, and a smirk for the few more hell weeks ahead.

We took advantage of the early dismissal from class. Usually, people start to come by the field (situated at the back of our dormitory) around four to five in the afternoon. And since deep down I know I’m still a bit shy about this hobby of mine, I tried hard to make every picture as natural as possible. There were few people watching from the dorm lobby, by the way.

So what do you think of the place I’m currently living in? Well, it has a nice view right? Awesome grounds which can be turned into really great locations for mini photoshoots. Mother nature did the wrap-up for us as she poured heavy rainfall towards the last few shots for this session.

Saying hello to the early days of September. My brother Arco asked me to help him find a new pair that he can wear to a party on the 23rd. It didn’t take us long, we went straight to Sperry. I also totally dig the Hush Puppies flip flops because they are unique and so cute with the Japanese characters on them. But to top our weekend off, nothing beats a Camaro as it drove by in front of us.

I was pretty bored in the dorm room that my friends and I have been staying in for the last four months. Although it may appear just ordinary or guileless, my take on this is quite a success. The Johnny Depp picture I posted before this is the main reason why I went for black and white. I cannot contain the joy after seeing the pictures and knowing that despite the absence of my trusty tripod I was still able to shoot nice photos ( yes I am Felixbatik).

After two months of searching, I now have a photographer who is willing to shoot my look photos while we are in medical school. And yes, I will try as much as possible to update my blog every week. I guess it wouldn’t hurt if I squeeze in a little sparkle to utterly boring weeks.

As you can see, I have installed a new theme and it may take a while before I can bring back the old elements i.e the sidebar, profile picture, banner, etc. Please bear with me because my html skills have gone rusty already.

My obsession with scarves have definitely hyped up (not sure if obsession goes at a higher level). I originally planned to use the most colorful one that I got but then I realized that it was a bit wide for my outfit. Good thing, Zea brought her blue leopard printed scarf from Topshop. I was praying for natural light that day, we got back to our dorm just in time before Mr. Sun said goodbye.

MEDSCHOOL SCENES

I have been really busy with postgrad studies and I’m still in the process of adjusting to this new track in my life. Everything’s so different, even my study habits. Gosh, even if I say I’ve put so much effort already when it comes to studies, it clearly does not pay off that well. Like cellular network signal, my grades lately have undergone several yet endless fluctuations. But I don’t want to become another med student with aimless direction. I should figure out soon how I can (somehow) achieve my mini goals this year. Anyhow, I still manage to make everyday colorful with my friends and good thing my awesome IPAD 3 takes HQ pictures. Here are few photos of how happy and light medschool life is—-So Far. :)

I only have four photos for this look, had a great time shooting though. We took advantage of the resort garden because it is well manicured and had a lot of interesting elements, just right for our theme. This is how minimal I can get but I can’t still wear this when I go to the mall or when I get mani-pedi, I can only imagine how people would react upon seeing me. I guess this is only proper during out of town trips.
